No Admittance Authorised Personnel Only Signage helps you restrict entry to staff-only doors, plant rooms, stores and controlled workplace areas so visitors know not to enter.
No Admittance Authorised Personnel Only Signage tells visitors, contractors and unapproved staff not to enter restricted areas. Use it on doors, stores, plant rooms and controlled access points where clear entry control helps you reduce unsafe access and protect authorised staff.
Where No Admittance Authorised Personnel Only Signage Works Best
You should install this sign at eye level on doors, gates and entrances before someone reaches a restricted space. It works best where visitors may otherwise walk into plant rooms, stock areas, maintenance rooms or staff-only corridors without permission.
Viewing Distance Guidance for Clear Entry Control
For an A5 safety sign, place it close to the decision point rather than far down a corridor. Around 3–5 metres is practical for doors and small access points, with lighting, mounting height and approach angle affecting readability.
| Size option | Best viewing use | Practical distance |
|---|---|---|
| H 210 x W 148mm | Doors, cupboards, staff-only rooms and small entrances | Approx. 3–5 metres |

- ❌ Do not rely on the sign alone where locked access is required
❌ Situations where this is the wrong choice
- ❌ Do not use it where a specific hazard warning is also needed
- ❌ Do not use it as a replacement for visitor reception instructions
- ❌ Do not choose removable vinyl for rough, dusty or uneven surfaces
✅ Better placement decisions
- ✅ Fit it at normal eye height on the approach side of the entrance
- ✅ Keep the red prohibition symbol clear of glare and door furniture
- ✅ Pair it with physical access control where entry must be actively prevented
