Caution Dangerous Chemicals Signs warn staff, contractors and visitors before they enter chemical stores, laboratories, cupboards or handling points, helping you reduce exposure risks
Caution Dangerous Chemicals Signs warn people before they enter or work near chemical storage, laboratory, cleaning or handling areas. They help you highlight a general chemical hazard clearly so staff, contractors and visitors pause, check controls and avoid unsafe contact.
Best Places to Display Caution Dangerous Chemicals Signs
You should install this sign at chemical store doors, laboratory entrances, cleaning cupboards, COSHH cabinets, plant rooms and handling benches where people may approach hazardous substances. Place it at eye level before the risk point so the warning is seen before contact, access or handling begins.
Viewing Distance Guidance for Chemical Warning Signs
Choose the size around how early you need people to react. Smaller signs suit cupboards and close-range doors, while A3 or A2 sizes give clearer warning across workshops, stores and wider approach routes.

Caution Dangerous Chemicals Signs questions answered
What are Caution Dangerous Chemicals Signs used for? They warn people that dangerous chemicals may be stored, handled or present nearby, helping them stop and check the correct precautions before entering or touching anything.
Is W001 the right ISO code for this sign? Yes. W001 is the EN ISO 7010 general warning symbol, used with supplementary wording when the hazard needs to be explained in text.
Where should I place a dangerous chemicals warning sign? Place it before the risk point, such as on chemical store doors, COSHH cupboards, laboratory entrances, cleaning stores and handling areas.
Should I use this instead of a specific corrosive or toxic sign? Use this for a general chemical hazard. If the main risk is clearly corrosive, toxic, flammable or oxidising, a more specific hazard sign may give better guidance.
Which material should I choose for chemical storage areas? Vinyl suits smooth indoor doors, cupboards and cabinets. Rigid plastic is better for walls, rougher surfaces, longer-term display or areas where the sign may be handled or knocked.
