Eyewash Station Inspected signs help teams show eyewash checks are being completed, giving staff a clear visual record of inspection dates and responsible names.
Eyewash Station Inspected signs show that an eyewash point is not simply present, but being checked as part of a living first aid routine. Using the recognised E011 eyewash symbol and dated sign-off spaces, they turn routine inspection into visible reassurance for staff, visitors and compliance teams.
Where Eyewash Inspection Signs Work Best
Fit this sign directly at the eyewash point, cabinet, bottle holder or wash station where routine checks are carried out. It suits laboratories, workshops, treatment areas and production spaces where a visible inspection trail helps prove that first aid equipment is being checked, not merely assumed to be ready.
Viewing Distance Guidance for This Size
At 297 x 210 mm, this A4 portrait format is best for mid-range viewing, usually around 6 to 12 metres or 20 to 39 feet in clear conditions. Where the approach is longer or the sign must be read in busier surroundings, use repeat notices closer to the eyewash point.
What This Inspection Sign Improves On Site

Eyewash Station Inspected Signs Questions Answered
What are Eyewash Station Inspected Signs? Eyewash Station Inspected Signs are first aid information signs used to show that an eyewash point is being checked as part of a routine inspection process, rather than left without visible maintenance evidence.
What does the message “Eyewash Station Inspected” mean? It tells the reader that the eyewash point has a visible inspection record and that checks are expected to be signed and dated. In practice, it adds trust, accountability and a simple audit trail at the point of use.
Where should this sign be fitted? It should be fitted at the eyewash station itself, or immediately beside the cabinet, bottle holder or wash point where inspections are actually carried out and recorded.
When should I use this sign instead of a standard eyewash location sign? Use this format when the main priority is showing that eyewash checks are being completed. If the real need is to help people find the eyewash point from a distance, a standard location sign should still be used as well.
When should this sign not be used on its own? Do not rely on it alone in larger spaces, dim conditions or areas with obstructed sight lines. In those situations, pair it with a standard eyewash location sign or a glow sign so the equipment can still be identified quickly.
